Why “Macrobiotics”? (regardless where the name began). The “Yin/Yang” answer is within the formula of “the tree is in the seed and the seed is in the tree”. As long as the answer is given from either the “tree side” or the “seed side”, we still have not fully attained the “Macrorama View”. The saying is that one “can not see the tree from the forest”, when looking at the forest from a DISTANCE. By reducing the distance we loose the perception of the forest. By being in the forest we may want to loose ourselves in the outer. This is the case of most humans who today identify themselves with the outer (opinion, favours, looks, passport, social security number, driver’s licence, etc. So….within the cosmic scale the “diagnosis” of ones condition gets a different picture.
By the Eternal Constant, CHANGE, distance/perception changes. To Be Macrobiotic is not to get suck (root-cause of cancer). This is the challenge for many who “become macrobiotic at first” and then find themselves stuck in the “pack”. So, to continue our growth of Health (health means whole) we must apply Yin/Yang within the greater realm, in order to gain a greater harmony between “front” and “back”. This is much easier to say than to do!
The theory of it I managed to describe as follows:
- Yin and Yang
- Yang is the Activator of Yin.
- Yin is the Stimulator of Yang.
- Yang and Yin together is Energy in its Primeval State.
- When Yang and Yin separate, then Movement results.
- Movement, then, is the Child of Yang and Yin.
- Yang gives Energy to the Movement.
- Yin gives Direction to Movement.
- Energy and Direction Give Pattern to Movement, which is the idea of Form.
- Form is the offspring of Yang, Yin and Movement.
- Yang and Yin and Movement are the Dimensions of Form
- Form is the Vessel of Yang and Yin.
- Form, then, contains Energy and gives Order to it.
- For Form is made by the Discipline of Movement.
- The Order of Form is the Cause of Structure.
- Structure and Energy give birth to Matter.
- Yang and Yin give Matter Power to Transform itself.
- Movement gives Matter the ability to do so.
- Form brings Order in the Transformation.
- The Transformation of Matter is the Idea of Freedom.
- Freedom is the Power of Growth.
- Growth gives Freedom to Energy.
- The Freedom of Energy gives Life to Matter.
- Life is the Breath of Yin and Yang.
- The Breath of Life is the Will of Yang and Yin.
- The Life of matter brings Unification in Energy
- Unification gives the Power of Growth.
- Plants are the first manifestations of Unification and Freedom, upwards.
- Freedom creates Rhythm
- The Rhythm of Order creates Idea.
- Idea gives Freedom to Plants, which Transform their Matter into Animals.
- Animals give birth to the Structure of Man, Plants to his Wisdom, and Matter to His Energy.
- Man gives Yang and Yin Meaning, which will be accomplished by his Effort to give Energy its Ultimate Freedom through his discovery of what made Man.
- Man, himself becomes Free when he Transforms Matter into Spirit
- Which is the Ultimate Unification of Energy.
- The Unification of Energy is the Freedom of Yin and Yang.
At first we unify energy in the cauldron (cooking). Then we remember the space from where the energy was generated. This recall goes along with the social interactions, with those who are part of the memory. Here is where the “human drama” becomes interesting…..because every one has their own idea about the Unifying Principle and the context of the application. At this point the one who wants to go “ahead” must decide to temporarily leave the “pack” behind.
